The Reshaping of Communication by Artificial Intelligence: Perspectives from Tencent

Abstract:

With the advent of the Web 3.0 era, Al’s influence has gradually expanded from technological Innovation and productivity enhancement to reshaping information dissemination, human thinking paradigms, and social organization. Al is rapidly advancing beyond the integration of the semantic world, becoming a facilitator of systematic integration. It profoundly changes the relationships between content creators, content production, communication channels, and audiences. The logic of content evaluation is also shifting, as the rational and profit-driven nature of algorithms leads to increasing homogeneity and fragmentation, weakening its capacity to carry social values. As a result, companies must constantly adjust their strategies. This talk will offer insights and reflections drawn from Tencent’s corporate communications practices.

Fanny Liao(廖芳莉)is Director of Corporate Strategic Communications at Tencent. She is an expert on corporate communications, crisis management and branding. She and her team are dedicated to building better connections between Tencent and its stakeholders, customers and users. Before joining in Tencent, Ms. Liao worked as the PR Director of Huawei Japan.
