DCOM professors and doctoral students to present seven papers at a major conference in May 2022

Four DCOM academic staff members (Xiaoqin LI, Todd SANDEL, Charles FENG, and Tien Tsung LEE) and two doctoral students (Qian XIAO and Jiawei TU) have a total of 7 co-authored, peer-reviewed articles to be presented at the annual conference of the International Communication Association (ICA) this coming May, 2022, in Paris, France. Authors have the option of presenting virtually.

In 2021, Todd SANDEL was elected the Vice Chair of the Language and Social Interaction Division of the ICA. He will be responsible for planning the ICA convention in 2023. Also in 2021, at the annual conference of the National Communication Association (NCA) in Seattle in November, Prof. SANDEL was elected to be a member of the NCA Publications Council on a three-year term. This Council selects the editors for the 11 journals published by Taylor & Frances on behalf of the NCA.

The ICA and NCA are two of the largest and most prestigious international academic associations in the field of communication.

Prof. Tim Simpson just published a single-authored article about urbanisation in Macau in the Journal of Tourism and Cultural Change, which is an SSCI journal.
