Part-time Instructor for academic year 2020/2021 in Art History, Digital Art and Design

University of Macau Centre for Arts and Design (CAD) housed in the Faculty of Social Sciences collaborates with the Department of Communication to offer an interdisciplinary specialization in art, design, and creative media in visual communication leading to Master and PhD degrees. Applications are invited for the following part-time teaching positions.

Subject Area I – Art History (Ref. No.: UM/FSS/CAD/PTL/AH/05/2021)

  • Art History and Theory (Modern Art History and Modern Design History for MA student)

General Requirements and Application Procedure

  • Applicants should have a PhD degree (or doctoral student) in relevant discipline, with relevant professional experience and a demonstrable record of excellence in teaching at university level.
  • Applicants must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English for the post.

General Requirements and Application Procedure

  • Applicants should have a Master’s degree in relevant discipline, with relevant professional experience and a demonstrable record of excellence in teaching at university level.
  • Applicants must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese and good at English for the post.
  • Applicants are invited to email resume, cover letter, and art portfolio to Centre for Arts and Design at fss.cad@um.edu.mo. The art portfolio should contain about 10 images of your work, image should be compressed to 72dpi, approximately 2880×2880 pixels, image quality level 3 and saved as jpg/pdf files; video should be compressed to 480 pixel and saved as mov or mp4 file. Links to download art portfolio is also acceptable.

Remuneration

  • The taxable payment ranging from MOP51,360 to MOP56,640 per course per semester.
