Academic Imagination and Exploration of Intelligent Communication (Talk in Mandarin)
Abstract：
Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly becoming a significant driving force, profoundly impacting both journalistic practices and academic research. This seminar will explore the new academic landscape that AI technologies have brought to the field of communication studies, examining it from multiple perspectives. Additionally, it will introduce two empirical studies focusing on human-machine interaction and the development of AI in the media industry. The first empirical study will analyze the complex psychological characteristics of humans when interacting with robots, using data from Douban groups as a foundation. The second empirical study will focus on AI anchors as the research subject, investigating their lifecycle and exploring the factors influencing their development in media organizations from technological, organizational, and societal perspectives.
Bio:
Prof. Zhijin ZHONG is currently Professor and Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Sun Yat-sen University. She is a member of the National Graduate Education Steering Committee for Journalism and Communication and an executive director of the Chinese Society for Journalism History. She was a Fulbright visiting scholar at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) in the Department of Communication, a Young Changjiang Scholar by the Ministry of Education and as a “Yixian Scholar” at Sun Yat-sen University.
智能傳播的學術想象及探索
提要:
人工智能越來越成為當今社會中的重要驅動力量，對新聞傳播實踐和學術研究都帶來了巨大的影響。本次講座將從多重視角描繪人工智能技術的發展與成熟給傳播學帶來的新的學術圖景，並介紹有關人機互動關係，傳媒業人工智能發展的兩個實證研究，實證研究一將以豆瓣小組為基礎，分析人類在與機器人交往時的複雜心裡特徵。實證研究二將以AI主播為研究對象，分析他們的生命週期，並從技術、組織、社會等角度分析影響傳媒機構發展AI主播的因素。
講者簡介:
鐘智錦，現任中山大學新聞傳播學院院長、教授、博士生導師，全國新聞與傳播專業學位研究生教育指導委員會委員、中國新聞史學會常務理事。本科、碩士畢業于北京大學資訊管理系，博士畢業于香港城市大學媒體與傳播系，美國加州大學聖巴巴拉分校（UCSB）傳播學系FULBRIGHT訪問學者。研究興趣包括網路輿論研究、政治傳播、計算傳播等。主持國家社科基金項目三項，有七十餘篇論文發表在《新聞與傳播研究》、《傳播與社會學刊》、《國際新聞界》等重要中文期刊和JOURNAL OF COMPUTER-MEDIATED COMMUNICATION、COMPUTERS IN HUMAN BEHAVIOR、COMPUTERS & EDUCATION、INTERNET RESEARCH等SSCI期刊上。入選教育部青年長江學者、中山大學“逸仙學者”。
