Prof. Wu Mei from University of Macau, Department of Communication was invited to attend “Macau Global Media Industry Development Conference 2016”. Prof. Wu was the hostess of Summit Talk which is a part of the main forum of the conference. Susan Chadler (the senior editor-in-chief of Business Week, professor of Northwestern University), Huang Qinglong (the president of Want Daily), 福島大毅 (the president of 東方インターナショナル) and Chen Jianbo (the manager of “Taiguo.com”) all joined in the Summit Talk. The topic is “the way to Omni Media: transformation and upgrading, innovation and development”.
The conference was host by China News Service and Macau Daily, sponsored by Macau Foundation, co-host by MSAR Government Information Bureau and prepared by CNSphoto. It was held from 27 November to 30 November, 2016 in Macau. The theme of this year is “Transformation and Upgrading of Media, Development of Omni Media”.
Cui Baoguo (Professor, Tsinghua School of Journalism and Communication), Deng Qiyao (Professor, School of Sociology and Anthropology, Sun Yat-Sen University), Lin Yufeng (Assistant Professor of Department of Communication and Assistant Dean of FSS, University of Macau) and Zhou Yong (Professor, School of Journalism and Communication, Renmin University of China) attended the conference. At the same time, some students from Department of Communication, UM also took part in the conference.
澳門大學社會科學學院傳播系副教授吳玫受邀參加“澳門全球傳媒產業發展大會2016”。吳玫教授作為大會主論壇中高峰對話環節的主持人，與Susan Chadler （美國《商業週刊》高級主編、西北大學教授）、黃清龍（臺灣《旺報》社長、福島大毅（日本《東方時報》社長）以及陳劍波（“泰華網”總經理）進行對談。對話主題是：“全媒體之路：轉型和升級 創新與發展”。
大會由中國新聞社、澳門日報主辦，澳門基金會贊助，澳門特別行政區政府新聞局協辦，中國新聞社圖片網路中心承辦，並於2016年11月27日至30日在澳門舉行。今年大會主題是：“媒體轉型升級和全媒體發展”。
清華大學新聞與傳播學院副院長、教授崔保國、中山大學社會學與人類學院教授鄧啟耀、澳門大學傳播系助理教授兼社會科學學院助理院長林玉鳳、中國人民大學新聞學院副院長周勇等出席會議。同時，澳門大學傳播系部分學生也參加學習這次會議。
